This manual is meant to assist those folks teaching beginning woodwinds. Each instrument chapter, written by an expert, will deal with HOW TO TEACH embouchure, air production, hand position, articulation, holding position, and assembly. Also, included are chapters dealing with recruitment, virtual-hybrid learning, and the instrument display. The manual concludes with a special chapter by 2020 Grammy Educator of the Year, Mickey Smith, Jr., Management Action Plan. The experts: Dr. Judy Hand, flute; Ms. Beverly Jones, Oboe; Ms. Jan Scott, Clarinet; Mr. Mickey Smith Jr., Saxophone; Mr. David Gibson, Bassoon.
Simply put, it is learning in action.
